Bachelor of Arts in Spanish
The study of foreign languages and literatures lies at the very center of the humanities. Foreign language majors not only acquire skills in reading, writing, and speaking foreign languages, but they also explore and develop an appreciation for the literatures and broader cultures of foreign lands and peoples. The Spanish program offers students the opportunity to study the language and literature of the Hispanic world, including both Peninsular and Latin American cultures. A minor in Spanish or Spanish Translation/Interpreting is also offered, requiring students to complete 18 hours of courses, with at least 12 hours of upper level Spanish courses.
Spanish major and minor degree requirements for other academic years may be found on the academic catalog page.
