Services provided by the Sponsored Awards wing of the Office of Sponsored Awards and Research Support (SARS)include:

  1. Writing grants in support of the mission and programs of USC Upstate,
  2. Researching grant sources and disseminate this information to the appropriate potential PIs (principal investigators),
  3. Assisting with proposal preparation, and with submission to USC Sponsored Awards Management (SAM) in Columbia for processing and submission to the funding source, and
  4. Post-award training and consultation to help PIs and their departments properly manage their grants.
