J M Smith Foundation Receives Gold Dome Award
The J M Smith Foundation has been presented with the Chancellor’s Council Distinguished Gold Dome Award for its sincere loyalty and commitment to USC Upstate. This award is the highest honor presented by the university to business and community leaders and organizations that recognize the potential of its future.
The J M Smith Foundation’s extraordinary commitment to USC Upstate over the past several years has exceeded $1 million in accumulated giving and includes such gifts as those to the Susan Jacobs Arboretum and other campus beautification projects; the math and computer labs in the G.B. Hodge Center; the J M Smith Foundation Board Room in the Health Education Complex; the technology wing in the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics; and this recent leadership gift to the Mary Black School of Nursing Simulation Center.
