Campuses
USC Upstate, set in the picturesque foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is located conveniently along the thriving economic I-85 corridor between Atlanta and Charlotte and just a few hours drive from the beaches and mountains. Upstate South Carolina is a dynamic international hub and is home to the highest per capita concentration of international business in the U.S. Consistent with the international character of the Upstate, the University promotes global perspectives across its programs, and, supporting the regional employment objectives of most of its students, provides extensive experiential learning opportunities.
The Spartanburg Campus
The 280-acre campus in Spartanburg, situated near the intersections of I-85 and I-26 and offers beautiful mountain views, serves as the primary headquarters for USC Upstate. Largely residential, the Spartanburg campus is a continual hub of activity. The Palmetto House, a new residence hall, houses 348 freshman students while the The Villas provide apartment-style living for 348 upperclassmen.
Everything about the Spartanburg campus seems to be built around the needs of the students. State-of-the-art labs, smart classrooms, an incredible athletic complex, frequent theatrical and musical performances, more than 70 student organizations, an active Greek community, and tons of other exciting opportunities make this totally wireless campus very student-friendly.
The Greenville Campus
USC Upstate's Greenville Campus is where more than 500 commuting junior and senior level students pursue degrees. The Greenville campus is located at the University Center of Greenville, a nonprofit consortium of seven higher education institutions dedicated to increasing access to educational opportunities for the citizens of the Greater Greenville Metropolitan Area of South Carolina. USC Upstate is the largest provider of undergraduate academic programs at the University Center of Greenville, generating over 70 percent of the Center’s baccalaureate enrollment
The campus is a state-of-the-art teaching and learning center located at 225 South Pleasantburg Drive, an important hub in Greenville and is surrounded by world-class manufacturing and business centers, both national and international.

Community Outreach and Education Center
The USC Upstate Community Outreach and Education Center is located in downtown Spartanburg to provide a structural framework of the institution’s outreach and collaborative partnerships that focus on improving health, education and community development on Spartanburg’s Southside. The facility, located at 325 South Church Street, houses academic units that are involved in grant and other outreach initiatives.
The Center will house satellite outreach operations of the Community Outreach Partnership Center, Department of Fine Arts and Communication Studies, Metropolitan Studies Institute, Center for Nonprofit Leadership, Center for Women’s Studies and Programs, Center for Watershed Ecology, Mary Black School of Nursing, School of Business Administration and Economics, and School of Education. Other operations in the Center will include the Achieve Program and the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship.
