Chancellor Moore's Testimony to U.S. House Subcommittee
In August 2011, Chancellor Moore participated in the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce field hearing. He presented a five minute testimony as part of the field hearing, entitled “Reviving our Economy: The Role of Higher Education in Job Growth and Development” held at Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR).

On Friday, April 13, 2012, the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees, President Harris Pastides, and the entire USC Upstate attended the Investiture Ceremony of Dr. Thomas F. Moore. The Investiture Celebration honored Chancellor Moore as the University celebrated his installation as USC Upstate's third chancellor in its 44-year history.
Moore, who took office August 1, 2011, joins a distinguished line of university chancellors at USC Upstate. His appointment is the high point of a 30-year career in higher education in which he has worked closely with various constituencies, including students, faculty, administrators, alumni and business, community and political leaders.
