Mock Interview Sessions
Before you go to your first interview you may wish to discuss your concerns, questions, and general interview anxiety with the Career Center staff member that works with your degree area. Career Center staff have years of experience in human resources, recruiting, and interviewing. Honest critique of your interviewing style can offer you encouragement and advice to help land the position that you are applying for.
A mock interview also provides an opportunity to prepare, rehearse, and deliver answers to typical interview questions, critical interview follow-up practices, as well as questions that are job specific to the position you are pursuing.
You may also wish to have interview videotaped so that the Career Center Staff can help you analyze your verbal and non-verbal mannerisms.
