Student Success Center
The Student Success Center exists to help students succeed in their studies, to graduate from USC Upstate in a timely manner, and to start a career or graduate study.
The Student Success Center consists of:
The Academic Support Center is the primary retention unit on campus. It is responsible for advisement of undeclared students, most campus tutoring, and a variety of retention efforts, such as offering University 101 classes to improve freshman persistence, developing learning communities, training faculty advisors, etc.
Opportunity Network is a Student Support Services program at USC Upstate made possible by a federal grant from the Department of Education. The program is designed to assist students in achieving their goals as they confront the challenges of completing a college degree. It provides services to eligible students from the time they are accepted to the University through their graduation.
Career Services works closely with the Academic Support Center to help students clarify their occupational goals and to sharpen their academic focus. It seeks internship opportunities for students as well as employment prospects upon graduation.
