Biography
Dr. Raquidel, a professor of French at USC Upstate, has been at the university since 1989 and has also taught Spanish.
Her experience, previous to USC Upstate, includes teaching eight years in adult education in England, working as a research assistant on the creation of the Ensemble BBC TV French package program, to learn French. She also taught in adult education in Venezuela for six years.
Her interest in research, and publications, are mainly in Francophone literature, particularly the Caribbean; also in women’s literature written in French, Spanish and English. She has participated in more than 40 national and international congresses. She was the Region V Representative (including eight states), in the American Association of Teachers of French for two consecutive mandates.
