Bachelor of Science in Mathematics

Prospective Students
The Mathematics program at USC Upstate is a progressive program that offers three distinct focus areas for students with different interests:

  • The Pure Mathematics Focus provides a more traditional program that prepares students for graduate studies in Mathematics or closely related areas.
  • The Computational and Applied Mathematics Focus combines Mathematics with Computer Science to offer a potent combination of skill sets for solving a wide range of practical problems, particularly those that involve computing.
  • The Applied Statistics Focus trains students who will use statistical methodologies and modes to analyze data in order to make decisions and to draw conclusions.
