Jane Nodine
Professor of Art and Gallery Director
She holds MFA and BFA degrees from USC and has numerous years experience teaching at the college level. From the late 1970's - mid 1990's, Jane owned and operated Jane Nodine HARDWEAR, a jewelry design and manufacturing company. Jane’s work has taken many forms over the years including techniques in drawing, painting, design, jewelry-metalsmithing, installation and photography. Her most recent research involves computer manipulation of digital imagery and techniques for merging traditional photography and drawing with new forms of imaging and print technology. Jane is director of Studio programs and of Internships in the Visual Arts at Upstate. Nodine developed a program in art and Italian culture that gives students an opportunity to study and travel to Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome. Travel Study in Italy is offered every other Maymester and students can register for 6 hours of transferable college credit.
Tom Reed
Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education
Ph.D., University of South Carolina
Dr. Reed teaches early childhood education. He is also the fields coordinator. Dr. Reed’s literary works are, Lost Days: Children from Dysfunctional Families in School and Rough and Tumble Play (IPA/USA proceedings). His research interests are Interactive TV/Compressed Video courses, Boy’s Rough and Tumble Play, Children of Dysfunctional Families.
