Whether it was having Dr. Tanyel constantly pushing the class to form an educated decision or writing a completed business plan in Dr. Rudisill’s small business enterprise class, Greenville native Jessica Osborne had a great and lasting impression of the faculty at USC Upstate who helped her achieve her goal of graduating in May 2006.
While earning her degree, Osborne was a LIFE scholar recipient all four years, was on the Dean’s List, and was on the President’s List. She was a member of the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha and worked full time putting herself through school. “I had a great time enjoying Greek life at Upstate. I made memories and lasting friendships. We had a blast at all of the campus events and fall recruitment every year—it was hard work, but lots of fun,” says Osborne.
She currently lives in Spartanburg and works for the Spartanburg Area Chambers of Commerce as their communications director. She is the mother of two girls, Isabella Grace who is 18 months and Scarlett Abigail who is four months. “They are my favorite little people and keep me busy,” said Osborne. Her hobbies and interests are spending time with family and friends, and traveling. “I love reading, shopping, listening to music, trying new restaurants, and catching a movie when I have the time,” she says.
