Input from the campus community is an essential part of the self-study process. Any person who wishes to provide information or ask questions about the self-study is encouraged to contact Professor Diane M. Daane, Steering Committee Chair, through this e-mail link or at (864) 503-5832. Other Steering Committee members may also be contacted. Their information is found under the Steering Committee section of this Web site.
One of the goals of the self-study is to educate the entire campus community about the Athletics Program and the standards by which it operates. For that reason, Steering Committee and subcommittee members were chosen for broad-based participation across the University including persons both inside and outside the Athletics Department, as well as representation from administrators, faculty, staff, students, student-athletes, and alumni. Even with this broad-based committee composition, it is important for the entire campus community to participate.
An Open Forum will be held to allow interested persons to interact with members of the Steering Committee and provide input into the final report. A preliminary self-study report will be made available at least a week prior to the forum. All members of the campus community are invited to attend.
The Open Forum is scheduled for March 26, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the University Readiness Center Room 219.
There is also a forum scheduled for the Athletics Staff, Coaches, and Student-Athletes to provide input. The Athletics Department Forum will be held on March 22, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in CLC 309.
