Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Information
Health Services plans to begin administering the partial-shipment of seasonal influenza vaccine for students, faculty members, and staff of USC Upstate in the near future! Those wishing to receive vaccination will need to present USC Upstate photo identification in order to qualify for this program.
Please note that Health Services is not an “in-network” provider for any insurance plan; therefore, private insurance is not filed through the department. Those who wish to receive a receipt which is appropriate for insurance reimbursement will need to notify the Administrative Assistant prior to receiving the vaccine. The cost for employees is $20. The fee for students is $10, unless students qualify for the federal Vaccines for Children program (also known as Vaccine Assurance for All Children—VAFAC in South Carolina). All services are payable by cash or check only, as Health Services does not have the ability to process debit and credit cards. Dates, times, locations, and appointment status are noted below:
- Monday, September 28th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at USC Upstate Greenville (formerly UCG); Room number to be assigned and posted – No appointment necessary at this location only
- Thursday, October 1st from 1:00 – 5:00 PM in Health Services, Building 1 of The Villas; Appointments are required; call extension 5191 to schedule
