Edit a Recording in the echo360 Personal Capture tool

Navigate to and select a recording that you wish to edit on of the following two ways:

  1. In the "My Recordings" dashboard, select the recording and click "View/Edit." The recording will then show in the Edit Dashboard.
  2. Immediately after recording, the Edit Recording Dashboard will appear.

Trimming unwanted footage from the beginning or end of the recording from within the Edit Recording Dashboard:

  1. Drag the left slider (echo360 trim beginning button)to the right to remove unwanted footage from the beginning of the recording.

  2. Drag the right slider (echo360 trim end button) to the left to remove unwanted footage from the end of the recording.

    The edit recording dashboard will show the sliders on the screen.

  3. Click "Apply Edits," and unwanted footage will be cut from the recording and automatically updated in your My Recordings Dashboard.

Cutting a segment unwanted footage from your recording

Note: make sure you have the recording open within Edit Recording Dashboard.

  1. Scroll or play the video until the red triangle video viewpoint indicator is at the point in the video where you wish to begin the cut. (The numbers are the point in the video where the playback indicator is located.)

  2. Click the Mark-Inecho360 beginning cut button button to place the beginning cut mark at the point in the video where the playback indicator is located, so it resembles the image below.

  3. Continue to scroll or play the video until the red triangle video viewpoint indicator is at the point in the video that you wish to end the cut.
  4. Click the Mark-Out echo360 stop cut buttonbutton to place the beginning cut mark at the point in the video where the playback indicator is located so it resembles the image below.

    Note: You can also click and drag the Mark-In and Mark-Out sliders to manually place the mark-in and mark-out indicators where you would like to begin and end the cuts.
  5. Click on the scissors echo360 scissors cut button to cut the selected footage so it becomes grey. If you have made a cut and have not applied edits, you may remove your cut by clicking on the Clear Cutsecho imagesecho360 clear cuts button button.

  6. After cutting the unwanted footage click on the Apply Editsecho360 apply edits button button to save edited recording. The updated recording will now showing in the my recordings dashboard.

    Note: Once you click apply edits you cannot undo the edits.
