Using your new zero client is quite simple, here’s a quick summary of the things you need to know:
Power button: Turns the client On and Off Auto: Disconnects you and the client from your VM instantly, but does not reboot or shut down your VM. It only disconnects the display you are using from your VM. Once you press that button you will have to log on to reconnect to your VM. This is the secure way to step away from your desk and protect it so no one can sit down and access your computer in your absence. Source: This button just changes the Samsung back to a regular monitor that could be connected to another computer. If you ever see a message on the screen that says “Check Signal Cable,” press the source button and it will change it back to the proper mode. Volume Up and Down: Turns the volume up and down. However you will need a set of external speakers or headphones to hear audio from the client. Menu: Options for the display settings on the monitor. USB: There are two USB ports on the left side of the device. Simply plug in the device and the VM will see it and install it; as long as the device is supported by the OS, it will work fine. Speakers: There are no internal speakers on the zero clients, same as a desktop, you have attach either external powered speakers or headphones to the green port on the left side.
