USC Upstate Student Password Policy has Changed for Increased Account Security

USC Upstate, along with all other campuses in the USC system, is implementing changes in its password policy as required by FERPA.  These changes affect how members of the campus community receive and reset their campus password.

Students new to USC Upstate have their initial passwords set to their six digit date of birth in the MMDDYY format.  After logging in successfully for the first time, you will be asked to change your password to something more secure.

Students who have forgotten their password or are just unable to login to their USC Upstate account can reset their password online at the password reset site as well.  You must know your USC Upstate username and VIP ID to reset your USC Upstate password online.

Help Desk staff can reset passwords in person only; passwords can no longer be reset via phone or e-mail.  You must be able to present a picture ID at the ITS Help Desk in Administration 109 for staff to reset your account password.
