USC Upstate Campus Computer Labs

Open labs are available to current students, faculty and staff for general use. Regular class periods are not scheduled in these labs. Labs may be closed during University holidays and semester breaks.

Open labs in the Library are open during normal Library operating hours. The Library also houses the only 24-hour computer lab on campus, located just inside the Library's main entrance. Open labs are generally staffed during their operating hours. The 24/7 lab is not staffed after normal hours.

Instructional labs are used as classrooms during at least a portion of the day. Regular class periods are scheduled in these labs, but some do have open lab periods as well.

Tutoring labs are open to members of the student body who need assistance with their studies or need access to discipline-specific software. Tutoring labs are not general use labs and, in some cases, may be restricted to students of certain academic majors.

All PC’s in these labs are loaded with Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 7, Office 2007 or 2010, and software requested by the department monitoring the lab. Apple computers are running OS X 10.5 or later with Microsoft Office for Mac and Adobe CS5 Master Collection. For information on software available through Spartan GreenSky, see here.
