More than 30 students who graduated this May were accepted into graduate programs across the country. The university celebrated their accomplishments recently at the Graduate School Sendoff Luncheon.
USC Upstate wins A-Sun softball tournament; Advances to NCAA tournament
In addition, Cheyenne Griffin (Moore, S.C.) was named the A-Sun Most Valuable Player and was joined on the all-tournament team by Meredith Barnes (Salem, Ore.), Shellie Robinson (DeLand, Fla.) and Jamie Ujvari (Niceville, Fla.).

Part of the Palmetto Trail goes through campus but comes to an end at campus boundaries. Part of the effort to "Finish the Trail' will link the university's portion to downtown Spartanburg and Landrum portions. The public input session and two workshops will provide more information.

DELAND, Fla. – Facing elimination for the second straight day at the 2013 A-Sun Championship, the No. 8 seed USC Upstate baseball team continued its remarkable postseason run Friday evening, knocking off 23rd-ranked and top-seeded Mercer 10-1.
Upstate Volleyball Releases 2013 Slate
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate volleyball program and Head Coach Jennifer Calloway released the schedule for the 2013 season Friday, featuring 29 matches with 13 home contests inside the Hodge Center.

USC Upstate to host book signing and reception for noted financial columnist Neil Irwin, May 13
A Spartanburg native, Irwin is a Washington Post columnist and the economics editor of Wonkblog, The Post’s site for policy news and analysis. He is the author of “The Alchemists: Three Central Bankers and a World on Fire” a book about the efforts of the world’s central banks to combat the financial crisis and its aftermath.
Thursday Afternoon Acting Group To Perform “Totally Red,” May 11
“Totally Red” is the standard story about Little Red Riding Hood, who meets the Big Bad Wolf on her way to bring Grandma some goodies. This is a humorous version of the story told in melodrama, Elizabethan, hip hop and avant-garde style.
