2012 Tax Information (Form 1098T)
Attention ALL STUDENTS: The form 1098T will be mailed to every student at his or her permanent address no later than January 31, 2013. If you do not receive yours by February 11, 2013, you may e-mail the Cashier's Office to request a copy. Please note that USC Upstate will not fulfill any requests for printed or mailed 1098T forms prior to February 11, 2013, nor will we take any requests for 1098T forms before that date. All students must file a 1098T form with the IRS. No matter what form of payment you use to pay your bill, you must file a 1098T form.
Drop Box for After Hours Payments
For the convenience of our students, a drop box has been installed outside the cashier’s office on University Avenue in the HEC building. Students may deposit their payments in the drop box after the office has closed at night or on weekends. Envelopes are also provided.
Return Checks
If your check is returned, we participate in the Solicitor's Worthless Check Program and all return checks are submitted for collection if we have not been contacted by the maker of the check.
Delinquent Accounts
All outstanding delinquent account will be submitted to a collection agency unless suitable payment arrangements are made. If USC Upstate considers it necessary to refer all or part of the unpaid principal, late charges and/or interest to an attorney or collection agency for collection, the student is liable for and shall pay all the attorney’s fees and/or collection agency fees resulting from the referral that are allowed by Federal and State laws and regulations and that are necessary for the collection of these amounts.
