Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union
Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative founded by people with a common bond of association and is sponsored by the University of South Carolina. Like many credit unions, Carolina Collegiate had modest beginnings. It began operation in 1967 with 49 members and deposits totaling $3,320.00. Since that time, services have increased from basic savings accounts and loans to a wide variety of services, incorporating the latest advances in technology. In 1989 a new building was completed, a mark of our growth and stability.
To take advantage of the wide range of services available at Carolina Collegiate, each member must open a savings account to establish shareholder membership with a minimum deposit of $1.00. Once established, members are eligible for a wide range of services.
Deposits are insured up to $100,000 by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) a U.S. Government Agency.
Membership Eligibility:
Membership is open to all University of South Carolina Upstate faculty, staff, and students and members of the immediate family of a credit union member, as well as other approved groups.
