Web Site Maintenance and Development
University Communications strives to utilize technology to increase communication with the University's diverse audience base. Our primary objective is to assist in educating and supporting faculty, staff and students regarding the Web and how it can better empower them to communicate and increase productivity.
Web Standards
The office works to increase the consistency of our Web presence by implementing standardized logos, color palettes, typography, content and messages. USC Upstate currently follows standards put forth by the USC system Web Presence Project to develop Web pages and content. By following these standards we can ensure that all pages are consistent and deliver content that is accessible to the largest possible audience and devices.
Web Site Updates and Development
Currently, our office handles all updates to the University's Web site pages. If you have edits to your departmental pages or if you need new Web pages created for your department, please contact Natalie Brown. If your department needs assistance collecting and dynamically displaying information (possibly utilizing a database), for instance, please contact Nick Catto to discuss.
NOTE: Implementation of a Content Management System (CMS), which will allow some departments to maintain their own web site pages, is currently in progress.
