Meet the Accountants: USC Upstate Sponsors Employment and Internship Fair for Accounting Majors
Spartanburg, S.C. - The Accounting Club at the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics at the University of South Carolina Upstate will sponsor an employment and internship fair for accounting majors and company recruiters on Wednesday, November 12 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the University Center of Greenville, 225 S. Pleasantburg Dr. in the former McAlister Square Mall.
Open to junior and senior accounting majors from the seven area universities represented at the University Center of Greenville, as well as Converse and Wofford, this annual fair will serve to connect students who need full- or part-time employment or internships with area companies during the fall hiring season. Employers are encouraged to come if they are anticipating immediate or future new hires, as students will be in various stages in their programs.
Employers will each have a table to set up recruiting materials. Even if not planning immediate hires, employers are welcome if they wish to share career counsel or materials. Students are reminded to bring their resumes and come prepared to ask questions and network.
“We are anticipating a large crowd this year,” says Elizabeth Cole, associate professor of accounting and faculty advisor to USC Upstate’s Accounting Club. “We expanded our student base from three universities to nine, and we hope to take advantage of an expanded recruiter base in the Greenville and Upstate markets.”
Contact Elizabeth Cole by phone (864) 503-5594 or by email email@example.com for additional information or to register as a recruiter. The University Center of Greenville is an educational consortium with classes offered by USC Upstate, University of South Carolina, Clemson, Furman, Lander, MUSC and SC State University.
