Stephanie Barnhill
Stephanie Barnhill is a family nurse practitioner, currently working full time in Health Services. She graduated from Clemson University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2000. Since that time, she worked as a Public Health Nurse for South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control (SC DHEC) at Spartanburg County Health Department, prior to joining the staff of Health Services. She went back to school for Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Clemson University, and completed her degree in May of 2006. Stephanie was named the State’s Nurse of the Year for the SC DHEC in 2006.
Stephanie continued to work at the health department in a variety of fields, but mainly in the areas of family planning and STD services. She has also taught community health nursing at Clemson University and has worked with many schools of nursing as a preceptor for graduate and undergraduate nursing students.
Stephanie left the health department in March, 2009, and joined the staff of Health Services later that same year. She is very happy to be providing services on the University of South Carolina Upstate campus.
