The School of Education at USC Upstate is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The School’s chief responsibility is the preparation of teachers for service to students in early childhood, elementary, middle and secondary school settings. Undergraduate degrees are offered in early childhood education, elementary education, special education learning disabilities, middle grades education, art education, secondary education (biology, chemistry, English, Spanish, math and history), physical education and physical education with a concentration in corporate fitness. The Master of Education is offered in early childhood education, elementary education and special education-visual impairment.
