Benefits of Graduating from USC Upstate: One of the many benefits of graduating from Upstate was the solid business education that she obtained. Julia enjoyed her studies in Business so much, she went on to earn a Masters of Business Administration. She enjoyed her time as a student athlete and developed strong bonds with her coaches, teammates and staff members in the athletic department. Many of her teammates remain some of her closes friends, today.

Matt is proud to have served on the Board of Directors since 2008. He enjoys giving back to his alma mater as it has provided him with so many enduring friendships and opportunities.

Benefits of graduating from USC Upstate: As a first generation college student, the smaller campus atmosphere and strong mentors allowed Charlianne to succeed. As an alumna, she became involved with the Alumni Board and was eventually hired as the Director Alumni Relations. She is very passionate about USC Upstate.

Mission

The mission of the University of South Carolina Alumni Board of Directors is to be an advisory board to the institution and to other alumni. The primary purpose of the Board is to serve as a body by which all who have attended USC Upstate can maintain some connection with the University. Those appointed as Board members shall exhibit these qualifications: leadership ability, commitment to USC Upstate, involvement in Association activities, a willingness to serve the Board and a history of financial support of the institution. Executive Council members shall have served a minimum of one term on the Board prior to election or appointment to this committee.

The Alumni Board of Directors is the governing body of our Alumni Association and makes decisions for our Alumni Association scholarship recipients and Distinguished Alumni of the year.
