USC Upstate wins A-Sun softball tournament; Advances to NCAA tournament
In addition, Cheyenne Griffin (Moore, S.C.) was named the A-Sun Most Valuable Player and was joined on the all-tournament team by Meredith Barnes (Salem, Ore.), Shellie Robinson (DeLand, Fla.) and Jamie Ujvari (Niceville, Fla.).
USC Upstate to host book signing and reception for noted financial columnist Neil Irwin, May 13
A Spartanburg native, Irwin is a Washington Post columnist and the economics editor of Wonkblog, The Post’s site for policy news and analysis. He is the author of “The Alchemists: Three Central Bankers and a World on Fire” a book about the efforts of the world’s central banks to combat the financial crisis and its aftermath.

Part of the Palmetto Trail goes through campus but comes to an end at campus boundaries. Part of the effort to "Finish the Trail' will link the university's portion to downtown Spartanburg and Landrum portions. The public input session and two workshops will provide more information.

Spartans Fall to Top-Seeded Mercer in A-Sun Championship
DELAND, Fla. – The No. 8 seed USC Upstate baseball team pounded out 11 hits through the first four innings Wednesday evening, but top-seeded Mercer erased a four-run deficit and rallied to earn a 12-6 victory at Melching Field on the opening day of the A-Sun Championship.
Upstate Senior Trio Heads to NCAA Preliminary Round
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Seniors Gilbert Kemboi, Kenny Sugishita and Cameron Thomas of the USC Upstate men’s track & field team head to Greensboro, N.C., Thursday for the 2013 NCAA Outdoor East Preliminary Championships May 23-25 hosted by North Carolina A&T State University.
10 Days Remain for Athletics Online Auction
Spartanburg, S.C. - The USC Upstate Athletic Department wants to remind everyone that its Online Auction has only 10 days left and there are some great items available at extraordinary values. The Online Auction will end at 12pm on Friday, May 31st. Winning bidders will be notified on Monday, June 3rd.

Thursday Afternoon Acting Group To Perform “Totally Red,” May 11
“Totally Red” is the standard story about Little Red Riding Hood, who meets the Big Bad Wolf on her way to bring Grandma some goodies. This is a humorous version of the story told in melodrama, Elizabethan, hip hop and avant-garde style.
