The University of South Carolina Upstate is a comprehensive public university and a senior institution of the University of South Carolina. USC Upstate is located between Charlotte and Atlanta along the I-85 corridor, one of the fastest growing business and high-tech regions of the country. The University has an enrollment of over 5,500 and includes accredited professional Schools of Nursing and Education, the accredited College of Business and Economics as well as the College of Arts and Sciences.

Positions listed are either tenure-track or non-tenure-track (Instructor) on a nine month basis unless specified otherwise. Candidates must have earned doctorates or other degrees as specified. ABD candidates with planned completion dates before August 15th may also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and advising, as well as a record of scholarship and service. Instructors are hired on a nine month contractual basis subject to annual renewal. They will have responsibilities equivalent to five teaching units and must have at least a master's degree with 18 hours in the discipline and other qualifications as noted. All positions are subject to funding.

Tenure-track, nine-month faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level to teach courses in marketing on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campuses beginning August 16, 2015. Candidates should embrace diversity and be comfortable with community outreach efforts. In addition to classroom teaching, responsibilities to the student population may include student advising, undergraduate research and experiential learning. Applicants should demonstrate an enthusiastic commitment to teaching and maintaining an active record of scholarship and service.

Required: Ph.D. in Marketing or Business from an AACSB accredited doctoral program or equivalent. Must be academically qualified (AQ) under AACSB standards; have recent research published in peer reviewed journals (except new PhD's); demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and a commitment to contribute to the College's mission through service. ABD candidates close to completion will be considered. (Must complete Ph.D. before August 15, 2015). Must have excellent communication skills.

Preferred: Ability to teach Marketing Strategy/Management and courses in at least two areas of specialization within the marketing discipline including but not limited to marketing communication, marketing research, international marketing, personal selling, business-to-business marketing, channels of distribution and social media marketing. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues. Experience in teaching on-line as well as traditional classes desirable.

Required: Ph.D. DBA, or equivalent in management or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution required; academically qualified under AACSB standards; have recent research published in peer reviewed journals (except new graduates); demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence; and demonstrate ability and commitment to contribute to the College's mission though service. ABD candidates having defended their proposal will be considered. (Must complete Ph.D. before August 15, 2015). 

Preferred: All areas of management considered, but expertise in international business, entrepreneurship, business strategy, operations/supply chain and human resources management are preferred. Recent peer-reviewed publications and evidence of excellence in teaching, scholarship and service is desired.
