SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE
Want a classroom with a view of 100 miles of pristine coastline? Want to combine the southern Spanish sun with language and culture learning? Join Professor Maria Monteso in Alicante, Spain for the trip of a lifetime! You’ll spend a month immersed in all costal Spain has to offer from their amazing flavors to the spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Students will enroll in SPAN U250 or U350 (3 credit hours) during the summer term at USC Upstate which is taught by Prof. Maria Monteso. Students will take a Spanish language exam to determine course placement at the University of Alicante for a 3 credit hour Spanish language course which may be approved for transfer back to USC Upstate.

Program Fee: $2,925 (Estimated based on currency conversion – See payment schedule.)
Fee includes: University of Alicante tuition & scheduled events/tours, housing, all meals at the housing location, most in-country transportation, health & travel insurance.
Fee does not include: tuition for USC Upstate course, airfare, some meals during excursions, trip delay/cancellation insurance, optional excursions.
Payment Schedule:
Deposit & Insurance Payment to USC Upstate: $650 – Due Mar. 1, 2025
Deposit Payment to University of Alicante: €500 – Due March 31, 2025
Final Payment to University of Alicante: €1,700 – Due May 1, 2025*Payments are subject to the University of Alicante refund policies. UA may provide additional details upon request.
