Our career-focused programs are designed around industry-recognized skills and aligned with workforce needs across the Upstate region. We offer flexible delivery for working professionals, with a number of offerings delivered online and on your own time. And, we work with partners to create customized corporate training to fit organizations of all sizes.
CEIC programs are designed to meet the needs of working professionals, career changers, employers, and community members. You do not need to be a current USC Upstate student to participate in CEIC programs.
You will register for continuing education programs directly through the CEIC website. CEIC programs do not require admission to the University, so you do not need to complete an admissions application. Everything is done directly with us.
Many programs are available online, while others may be offered in-person, hybrid, or through customized corporate training formats. Program delivery methods are listed on each course page.
Many programs award a certificate of completion, professional credential, industry certification exam preparation, continuing education units (CEUs), or another recognized credential. Review each program to confirm what it provides to those who complete its criteria.
Program length varies. Some courses can be completed in a few hours or days, while certificate programs and certification preparation courses may take several weeks or months.
Because our programs do not offer college credits toward a college degree, they do not qualify for traditional financial aid related to the FAFSA. We suggest looking at employer benefits and workforce programs for financial support.
USC Upstate partners with businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, and professional associations to create customized training solutions tailored to workforce needs. Popular topics include leadership development, project management, communications, human resources, accounting, technology, and industry-specific workforce training.
