Scholarships and Auditions
The Popular Music Studies program offers a number of scholarships and stipends for music majors who participate in our performing groups. To qualify, all you need to do is schedule a quick, informal audition, either in-person or online. At your audition, be prepared to sing or play two different songs (you’re welcome to use backing tracks) and a major scale (do-re-mi, etc…). Alternately, if you’re a composer, you can bring recording(s) of music that you’ve written to play for us. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have about the Popular Music Studies program or about careers in music.
To schedule your audition, email Dr. Griffin Woodworth at gwoodwor@uscupstate.edu
