Workshops for Teachers
Hands-on biomedical and biological research experiences.
Through an innovative collaboration between the College of Science and Technology and the College of Education, Human Performance, and Health, we have created a 5-day workshop for HS STEM teachers that highlights some of the exciting biomedical research taking place at USC Upstate. The main goal for this experience is to expose teachers to multiple diverse areas of research in biomedical and biological research and assist them in translating this experience and the content and process knowledge they acquire while attending this workshop into curricular enhancements within the courses they teach.
Sponsored by the College of Education, Human Performance, and Health and funded through NIH SCIBRE (Furman University). This project was directed by Dr. Stephen Bismarck.
