CAREER COMPETENCIES ABROAD: COSTA RICA
Is there a better classroom than the natural beauty of Costa Rica? Very few places on earth allow you to be in a rainforest, on an active volcano, and on the beach all within a few hours. With this as your backdrop, join Hannah Terpack as you help build global experience into your professional resume! Students will enroll in UNIV U399: Career Development in Costa Rica for 1 credit-hour during the spring semester as part of the program. Hannah Terpack is the Director of the Office of Career Management at USC Upstate and is an expert on career preparedness. Students will gain global competency and the skills needed to use that competency to assist your career development.
Highlights: Basilica Cartago, Cartago Ruins, Irazu Volcano, Ara Manzanillo, Bri-Bri Indigenous Reserve, Tortuguero National Park, Paradise Thermal Springs, Arenal Oasis Butterfly Dome, Rescate Wildlife Zooave, and much more!

Program Fee: $3,650
Fee includes: Housing, in-country transportation, airfare, meals, health and travel insurance, planned events/tours, a bilingual tour guide.
Fee does not include: trip delay/cancellation insurance, spring tuition.
Payment Schedule:
Deposit: $1,000 – November 1, 2025
First Payment: $1,325 – December 1, 2025
Final Payment: $1,325 – February 1, 2026 -
