On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the USC System including USC Upstate alumni, students, faculty, staff and South Carolinians from around the state will come together in a concerted effort to support higher education. Learn how you can help spotlight our university’s vital role in fostering both our state’s and residents’ economic well-being.
Why Carolina Day Matters
Last year was another historic year for higher education in South Carolina. Thanks to the support of the Governor and the General Assembly—and our advocates–the University of South Carolina Upstate held tuition steady for the fourth year in a row. None of this would be possible without the help and support from advocates like you!
Carolina Day 2026 will mark the beginning to what could potentially be the best year for higher education in the state’s history. We applaud the Governor and the General Assembly for continuing to see the importance and true impact investing in higher education can have on the citizens of South Carolina.
Help Us Share USC Upstate’s Story
We want to help show our state legislators the many ways USC Upstate benefits the people, communities and industries of South Carolina. On Carolina Day each year, we invite the community to join us in advocating for the university’s ideals and mission while also sharing their own unique and inspiring stories of how USC Upstate has changed their lives. So, whether you are in Spartanburg, Charlotte, Greenville or across the globe, make your voice heard in support of USC Upstate on Carolina Day 2026.
