Vintress Brown was appointed the interim vice chancellor for finance and administration in June 2026. In the role, she will provide leadership for an area that includes core administrative and financial functions across the university for a period of two years.
Brown joined USC Upstate in January 2014 and over the course of her tenure has contributed to a wide range of university priorities. While much of her work has centered on budget and finance, her impact has extended well beyond those areas to include space planning, capital project planning, human resources strategy, and institutional funding matters. Brown also serves as a member of the University Leadership Cabinet.
