Why Take Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid is an essential training that equips you with the skills to recognize and respond to signs of mental health challenges in friends, family, colleagues, and community members. Just as CPR helps in a physical health crisis, this course empowers you to offer initial support and connect individuals with professional resources when needed.
This Course is FREE!
Thanks to presenter Robyn Ellison, her SAMHSA Grant, and Prisma Health, this training is free for those who live, work, or study in South Carolina and are 18 or older.
✅ 3-year certification in Mental Health First Aid
✅ A comprehensive manual
✅ 7.5 hours of professional development (PD, CEUs, etc.)
This event is even more special because USC Upstate is the first university to become a Walt’s Waltz Stigma-Free Environment! They are generously sharing their space with the community to help create a more supportive and informed society.
