Start summer classes June 3 or July 3

At USC Upstate, we understand the importance of flexibility in your academic journey. That’s why we offer two start dates for our summer classes: June 3rd and July 3rd. Whether you want to get ahead or need to catch up, our online courses are tailored to fit your schedule and goals.

Discover the courses you need to fulfill general education requirements in subjects like math, science, business and social sciences. Additionally, we offer options for those looking for needed classes for graduate school entrance requirements.

Navigate our course offerings effortlessly through our user-friendly portal via the link below. Simply choose the summer term and next choose USC Upstate as the campus, then the type of course you’re seeking, whether it’s English, math, or any other subject.

Apply Today

As you are not seeking a degree, you may apply for admission as a non-degree student. Start by submitting an application for admission, an application fee of $10, Citizenship Verification (PDF) and Immunization Information (PDF).

Information for guest students:

  • Guest students or visiting students from other colleges who want to take a few courses but who plan to graduate from their “home” colleges need permission to enroll from their current institution.
  • College graduates who need additional undergraduate credit (Copy of diploma or transcript showing degree earned)
  • Students who need teacher certification
  • Students who want to audit courses (academic credentials not required)


College graduates who need additional undergraduate credit to qualify for admission to a graduate or professional school or who wish to take courses for personal interest must submit proof of a college degree in one of two forms: 1) official transcript showing degree and date degree was awarded, or 2) official letter from school stating degree and date earned (letter must include registrar’s signature and school seal).
