USC Upstate’s ER(Up)T program allows students interested in careers in the biomedical sciences (biology, chemistry, pre-professional) to participate in paid, faculty-mentored research projects on campus during the summer. The ER(Up)T program helps students not only learn about exciting opportunities in the sciences but also build impressive applications and resumes for graduate school or future careers.
“An unexpected part …
of the research that was memorable would probably be all the cool imaging tools we used to look at different data we collected (such as the fluorescence microscope, gel imagers, etc.). The faculty interaction was fantastic! I feel like I have grown a stronger professional relationship with not only my mentor, but the other research professors as well and they all have given me great insight for things I might not have learned in a class setting.
