Courses
How you will be prepared for your career in Chiropractic. Admission requirements for Sherman College of Chiropractic (Traditional Track):
- 90 semester hours with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- 24 semester hours in life and physical sciences (half with labs, all with grades of C or higher)
- 15 semester hours in humanities, social sciences, or behavioral sciences (grades of C or higher)
Alternative Admission Track Plan (AATP)
For students with a GPA between 2.75 and 2.99 or lacking the required science hours, the AATP provides an alternative path.
- Accumulate 90 semester hours with a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Attain a minimum of 12 semester hours in life and physical sciences, though more is preferred.

The 3+1 Advantage
USC Upstate’s Three-Plus-One program awards the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) to students who:
- Complete at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate work (including 42 at the junior/senior level)
- Satisfy all general education and degree requirements
- Complete at least 30 semester hours in the IDS program
- Gain approval from the IDS director before entering Sherman College
- Submit documentation of successful completion of the first year at Sherman College
In some cases, another USC Upstate bachelor’s degree may be awarded if coursework from both institutions aligns with a different degree program.
