Eligibility
To be considered for a USC Upstate Robert Noyce Teaching Scholarship, a candidate must have completed at least 60 credit hours, have an overall GPA of at least a 3.0, and be eligible for admission to the College of Education, Human Performance, and Health (CoEHPH) Professional Program within one semester of accepting the scholarship. Students must maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA to continue in this program. Preference will be given to transfer students from SCC as well as students that have participated in the internship program.
Fall applications will be reviewed through July 15th.
Spring applications will be reviewed through December 20th.
Funding
Noyce scholars will receive $11,688 in funding for a 12-month period. Should the candidate remain in good standing, receive a C or better in all of their 400 level education courses, receive a C or better in all of their content area courses, and maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA, the scholarship will be automatically renewed through the 2026-2027 academic year. No more than three years of support can be offered for any Noyce scholar.
