Culture and Politics Abroad: Italy
Visit 3 of the most beautiful cities in Italy: Rome, Florence and Venice. Experience Italian culture beyond the classroom as you explore world-renowned art, architecture, and historic sites while examining how politics, history, and civic identity have shaped these remarkable cities. From Florence’s Renaissance legacy and Venice’s distinctive political and maritime past to Rome’s ancient institutions and role as the center of modern Italian government, each destination will offer new opportunities to connect course ideas with the people, places, and traditions of Italy. Join Dr. Allison Ellis and Prof. Tammy Pike and interact with Italy’s history in a way that can only be accomplished by being there yourself.
