The mission of the Black Alumni Council, BAC, is to strengthen the engagement between Black alumni and USC Upstate, by supporting the success of current students through scholarship, mentorship, programming, and community service; while fostering professional and personal development opportunities that promote the success and empowerment of students at USC Upstate.
The vision of the BAC is to create a dynamic and engaged community of Black alumni who are deeply connected to the university, each other, and the next generation of students. We aim to create a thriving network that fosters lifelong relationships, celebrates the accomplishments of Black alumni, and serves as a powerful resource for professional, personal, and social development.
Through intentional mentorship, impactful community service, innovative programming, and fundraising efforts for scholarships, we seek to empower USC Upstate’s Black alumni and students to achieve their fullest potential. Our vision is to create a legacy of leadership, support, and opportunity that will inspire future generations of Black alumni to give back, lead with purpose, and continue the tradition of excellence at USC Upstate.
