  • THE THANKSGIVING PLAY

Flyer for USC Upstate Theatre Spring 2026 Auditions

    By Larissa FastHorse
    Directed by Allen Evans

    Production Dates: Jan. 29-31, 2026

About THE THANKSGIVING PLAY: Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally woke teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.

VOICES TO HEAR is a staged reading series here at USC Upstate that shines a light on recent works from both upcoming and established playwrights with a focus on diverse characters, themes, and cultures that may not be experienced or appreciated within the confines of the mainstream, commercial theatre.

    Roles Available: 2W, 2M

Then, racked with guilt and paranoia, he commits further violent murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion, soon becoming a tyrannical ruler.
