Spartan Pantry

The Spartan Pantry is a Food and Basic necessities pantry at USC Upstate

The Spartan Pantry is intended to assist students during financial emergencies. Items typically available the Pantry include non-perishable and frozen food items, basic personal hygiene items, and general cleaning supplies.

Who can access the Spartan Pantry?

Any currently enrolled USC Upstate student in emergency need can access the Pantry. (Students do not need to be enrolled in summer classes to access the Pantry during the summer). The food assistance portion of the Pantry is available to students who do not currently have a meal plan. Toiletries and household supplies are available to all students. The Pantry is run on the honor system; ID’s are not required although students are asked to “sign in” with their year in school (no names) so we can track usage of the Pantry.

Who can refer a student to the Spartan Pantry?

Anyone! The Pantry is a “no questions asked,” honor system pantry. We hope that only students in need will access the pantry and that they will only take what they need to assure that there are adequate supplies for other students in need.
