The University of South Carolina Upstate Offers Watershed Ecology Center Summer Camps.
Each summer the Watershed Ecology Center staff has Camp Discovery. These unique summer camps are designed to be educational and fun; filled with experiments, projects, games and more. With high staff to camper ratios, each camper receives individual attention, and more involved activities can be offered. Discovery Camp is the second full week in June and runs from 9-12 each morning, right here on the campus of USC Upstate. The camps are divided by grade with campers going into grades 1-2 at one camp and students going into grades 3-5 at the other.
Join us for Camp Discovery 2026! Camp Discover Motion, for campers going into grades 1-2; It’s time to camel walk and crocodile crawl, elephant swing and kangaroo hop! Every day will be full of exciting activities, playing games and creating crafts as we look at the amazing and incredible ways that animals and people move. The Camp Discovery Avengers Academy, for campers going into grades 3-5, will be an immersive nature-focused week as we learn about the resources that protect our beautiful planet. From planet saving pollinators to aquatic avengers and tree heroes, we will learn about sustainability and conservation. We will move as we explore and create with an emphasis on recycling.
