Call for Third-Party Comments – CAEP Site Visit (Dec 8–10, 2025)

The University of South Carolina Upstate College of Education, Human Performance, and Health (CoEHPH) will host a virtual accreditation site visit by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) on December 8–10, 2025.

Interested stakeholders (e.g., graduates, current or former faculty, P–12 partners, employers of graduates) are invited to submit third-party comments addressing substantive matters related to the quality of CoEHPH’s educator preparation programs.

Requirements for the College of Education, Human Performance, and Health

Educator Preparation at USC Upstate maintains accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Individual teacher certification area programs are nationally recognized by respective professional associations or by the South Carolina Department of Education under respective specialized professional association standards. The Art Education Program is nationally accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).

Federal Title II Reports, the institutional report card, provides a measure of program quality. CAEP Annual Report Accountability Measures also provide program preparation effectiveness data.
