FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

All Upstate students, including those attending the Greenville campus or taking classes online, should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to determine eligibility for aid. The FAFSA opens October 1 each year, with the USC Upstate priority deadline set for March 1. The USC Upstate FAFSA school code is 006951. For additional information, visit our Financial Aid Office. For additional information, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Many employers in the Upstate offer tuition reimbursement; your human resources team can help you determine if your company is one of them. Contact our office for assistance.

Students should also review scholarships available through the University and from other sources (like employers and community organizations). There are several University scholarships that support students who might study through the Greenville Campus. One trick to finding them is to go to Foundation Scholarships and search for key words that reflect your status, like “non-traditional” or “adult.” A few that might apply to you are listed below. (Always be sure to confirm active scholarships and eligibility with the Financial Aid Office.)

Transfer Scholarships available to students who earned 60 semester hours of transferable credit from a two-year or technical college or an Associates of Arts or Associates of Science degree from an accredited college, with $2,000 for maximum 3.5 GPA and $1,000 for minimum 3.0 GPA.
