Application Process

Application for Admission

The first step to enrolling in any USC Upstate degree-seeking program whether in Greenville or in Spartanburg, is to complete the application for admission. Each student is regarded as an individual and consideration is given to the complete student profile. General degree completion admission requirements include earning a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in all previous college-level course work and being academically and otherwise eligible to return to the last institution you attended.

Transfer Students

Because USC Upstate Greenville is focused on supporting degree completers (those with some college credits earned but no college degree), applicants will have previous college-level work completed and are therefore regarded as transfer students. Applicants must submit transcripts of all previous college courses whether or not credit was earned and regardless of whether credit is to be transferred. Students can assess which of their credits from South Carolina technical colleges will transfer here. Applicants with fewer than 30 credits of college-level work will also be reviewed based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT test scores (if younger than 22).
